I graduated with Honors at my college preparatory school in Nassau, The Bahamas, and received both the International Baccalaureate Diploma, and various Advanced Placement credits. I am internationally minded, having lived in Texas, Peru, and Puerto Rico, and am fully bilingual, with additional working knowledge in both French and American Sign Language. I am currently located in College Station, where I am earning a joint bachelor’s degree in International Affairs and Spanish at Texas A&M. I will soon begin my Master’s Degree at the Bush School of Government & Public Service. I am a passionate, life-long learner, who wants my clients to succeed academically while also feeling the knowledge gained will stick with them throughout their lives.
For STEM, I specialize in MS Math, HS Algebra I & Algebra II, alongside IB Maths Analysis and Approaches. My science expertise includes Biology and Physics (Middle School, High School & IB), alongside introductory Chemistry. I am not the right tutor for High School Statistics or Probability. I tutor in all disciplines of humanities, including language courses (English, writing, Spanish), history, geography, politics & government, etc. I can also help with improving writing and reading skills. This also includes SAT and PSAT prep. I have experience working with kids with 504 plans and other learning challenges, and am open to learners. My clients have seen a drastic increase in grades, ranging from a B to an A, all the way from a failing grade to a 97%. Although I can help, at the end of the day I am a firm believer that it is each student’s responsibility to tend to their education and that a tutor’s focus is to give them the instruction and tools necessary to accomplish this. When working with me, I will never talk down to you, and although I “keep it real”, I do so constructively so each student becomes their best self. |
